At Trochay, we aim to transform disposable plastic bags into sustainable art and wearable products. All starts with upcycling the plastic into “plarn” or plastic bag yarn, and then crotcheting this into colorful new products, such as accessories, home decor, bags and more. With this upcycling, we strive to avoid more single use plastic from going into landfills, oceans and contaminating the environment around us. Yet, it is not only about making a positive environmental impact in our surroundings, but also about employing hand crafters and giving them an opportunity to give back to their families and the community as a whole.
